Job Description:THE OPPORTUNITYDirectly manage 125+ accounts with a focus on growing business and placement of Scholastic Trade books and Klutz products primarily within retail independent bookstores and wholesale/book fair customers. Assigned territory is the Northeast and Southeast Regions of the US. The role will also focus acquiring new business within these regions.RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and conduct sales calls to all accounts, plus seasonal previews for larger accounts.

Provide account feedback and sales analysis to management, including weekly feedback on potential new title acquisitions.

Trade Sales liaison between customer, Scholastic AR, Customer Service and Cooperative Advertising.

Represent Scholastic at Regional trade shows, teacher nights and rep book talks.

Work directly with Publicity to facilitate author visits in territory.

Work directly with Marketing on promotions tailored for territory’s specific customer base.

Enter forecasting estimates in POET.

Prepare for and attend National Sales Conference 3 times a year.
