Accounting Manager
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager based in Austin, Texas. This role falls within the finance industry and requires thorough expertise in managing accounting functions. As an Accounting Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing the general accounting functions, assisting with year-end audits, and making recommendations for improvements. Responsibilities: Manage and oversee general accounting functions such as direct bill and agency bill reconciliation, accounts payable, acquisition accounting, general ledger, and commissions accounting Conduct year-end financial audit activities and collaborate with external auditors to ensure accurate closing and reporting Evaluate current practices and procedures, and propose recommendations for enhancements Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure their accuracy and completeness Handle ad hoc analysis and projects as required Supervise general ledger accounting functions and develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships Expertise in utilizing Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, BlackLine, Concur, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Proficiency in managing accounting functions, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), auditing, and billing functions Requirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting managerial role. Proficient in Accounting Software Systems. Experience with ADP - Financial Services is necessary, US GAAP Familiarity with BlackLine and Concur software is desirable. Should have a strong understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. Proficiency in all Accounting Functions. Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory. Should possess strong auditing skills. Must have experience in Billing Functions. Should have excellent communication and leadership skills. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary. Must have a strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent organizational and time management skills are required. Should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, is necessary. Must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
