Work includes reviewing, processing, and maintaining accounting records. Duties include the operation of standard office equipment such as personal computers, copy machines, and calculators, and is learned on the job and through specialized training. Contacts require basic courtesy, tact, and effectiveness in dealing with others, and include contacts to request or provide information, ask questions, or obtain clarification. The work is semi-routine where tasks are covered by procedures or precedents. Work is performed in an office environment. The physical demands consist mainly of sitting or standing at a workstation for extended periods of time, using standard office equipment on an ongoing basis, and occasionally lifting up to 25lbs and moving light objects. The work is performed under general supervision where the work assignments are varied and subject to instructions and established work routines.Examples of Work

Assist internal and external customers via phone, email and in person.

Maintain files.

Distribute checks.

Prepare daily journal entries.

Verify and post transactions into proper accounts.

Review and approve payment vouchers.

Receive funds and prepare deposits.
