Job Title: SharePoint Administrator/Knowledge Manager DCWF Code: 431Location: Fort JohnsonClearance Level: Secret ClearanceDOD 8140/8570 Compliance: RequiredPosition Overview: The SharePoint Administrator/Knowledge Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's SharePoint environment, ensuring effective collaboration, information sharing, and knowledge management across the enterprise. This role involves the administration of SharePoint sites, libraries, and permissions, as well as the development and implementation of knowledge management strategies to optimize the use of information resources. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SharePoint architecture, features, and functionalities, along with a strong background in knowledge management practices.Key Responsibilities:

SharePoint Administration:

Manage, configure, and maintain SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, workflows, and permissions.

Ensure the SharePoint environment is secure, optimized, and aligned with organizational needs.

Monitor and troubleshoot SharePoint-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.

Implement SharePoint updates, patches, and enhancements as required.

Knowledge Management:

Develop and implement knowledge management strategies to capture, organize, and disseminate information effectively.

Create and maintain knowledge repositories, ensuring that content is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to authorized users.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps and develop solutions to address them.

Promote the use of knowledge management tools and practices across the organization.

User Support and Training:

Provide end-user support for SharePoint-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.

Develop and deliver training programs and documentation to help users effectively utilize SharePoint and knowledge management tools.

Assist users in creating and managing SharePoint sites, libraries, and workflows.

Compliance and Security:

Ensure that SharePoint and knowledge management practices comply with DOD 8140/8570 requirements and organizational security policies.

Manage user access and permissions in accordance with security clearance requirements.

Conduct regular audits of SharePoint sites and knowledge management processes to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SharePoint administration and knowledge management.

Certifications:

DOD 8140/8570 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, or equivalent).

SharePoint Administrator certification preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, features, and best practices.

Proficient in developing and implementing knowledge management strategies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support users at all levels.

Additional Requirements:

Must possess a current Secret Clearance.
