Counter Associate - Specialty Foods

Schaller & Weber is hiring! We are looking for an experienced counter associate to help support our Flagship store in Yorkville. You will join a team of dedicated individuals who know German and other specialty foods.

About the position:

This is a Full Time position

Evening and weekend hours

Welcoming clients, friendly guest service, accurately weighing and/or slicing to order

Stocks counter neatly, accurately and in a timely manner

Ability to work whole or part shifts as a short order cook on our hot sandwich station

Maintains a clean, organized and sanitary station in compliance with Department of Agriculture standards

Works with a sense of urgency and efficiency

A team player that performs other duties as required or assigned

About You:

Self-motivated with 1+ year of experience working in customer service, preferably in a food retail environment

Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions

Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, management and guests

Ability to work with knives

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Experience working on a deli slicer is a plus
