$22.00 to 26.00/hour depending on experience and qualifications

About Bertschi School
Bertschi School, founded in 1975, is a Washington State approved elementary school serving students in grades pre-kindergarten to fifth. We are an accredited member of the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS) and the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
Position General Description
The Facilities/Grounds Maintenance Worker assists in carrying out repairs and maintenance of all school buildings and general care and maintenance of school grounds.
Position Duties
Perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned
Assist in keeping the buildings and grounds well maintained and in good repair
Assist in projects work on campus such as painting and minor repairs
Perform indoor and outdoor cleaning duties around campus
Assist with set up for school events
Assist in keeping all school equipment in good working order
Ensure safe use of all equipment
Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
Aptitude and interest in facilities maintenance
Prior school experience a bonus
Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods of time
Ability to lift 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds
Ability to perform repetitive motion for prolonged periods of time
Enjoy being around children and part of a school community
Experience collaborating with individuals from various cultures and backgrounds
Good communications and collaborative skills and a team player
