Director/Manager Financial Reporting
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Director/Manager of Financial Reporting in the manufacturing industry, located in Lansing, Michigan. This role involves planning and coordinating financial processes, maintaining the integrity of the global chart of accounts, and managing special projects and reporting needs.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the consolidation process, including recording consolidating entries and reconciling intercompany transactions. Coordinate with both US and international teams to prepare the corporate monthly review package. Analyze the effects of foreign currency translation on financial statements. Plan and manage global monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Assist in the preparation of quarterly SEC financial reporting, including cash flow statements, footnotes, and disclosures. Ensure compliance of processes to US GAAP in all major accounting areas. Maintain a positive customer service focus for both internal and external customers. Adhere to SOX compliance by maintaining updated documentation and providing recommendations as appropriate. Plan executive management reporting needs and deliver insightful management reporting and analysis. Identify and implement process improvements as part of continuous improvement initiatives. Manage the data governance process supporting chart of accounts, entity, and other reporting element changes. Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits conducted by external auditors. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Financial Reporting role within the manufacturing industry Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with BlackLine software Knowledge of EPS Practical experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions Proven experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) Prior experience in Auditing Experience in managing Balance Sheet Accounts Demonstrated skills in Budget Processes Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
