Medical Front Desk Specialist

Description We are looking for a Medical Front Desk Specialist to join our team in the Healthcare industry, based in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of duties such as patient check-in, call triage, payment collection, data entry, and other administrative tasks. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity and requires onsite presence.Responsibilities: Efficiently process patient check-ins and manage their records Triage incoming calls and direct them appropriately Handle collection of payments from patients and insurance providers Conduct confirmation calls to patients regarding their appointments Maintain a balance of electronic and paper records Prepare patient charts for the day Perform copying tasks as required Coordinate lunch orders for doctors as necessary Utilize software like Echart and HSE Pathways (EMR) for data entry and record keeping Adapt to wearing scrubs and comfortable footwear as part of the job requirement Exhibit an experienced attitude and ability to work independently while multitasking.Requirements Must have at least 1 year of experience in a healthcare or medical clinic setting Proficient in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Well-versed in basic medical terminology Experience working in a medical office environment is a must Demonstrated ability to handle and organize medical records efficiently Familiarity with patient medical records and their management Prior experience in a medical office setting is a strong advantage Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology is required Ability to understand and use medical terminology in day-to-day operations­Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
