Senior Accountant

Description We are in the search for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Decatur, Georgia. The Senior Accountant will be involved in a wide range of accounting duties, with a particular focus on Month End Close processes. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities Oversee the Month End Close process ensuring accuracy and timeliness Prepare and adjust journal entries as part of the Month End Close process Review and analyze financial statements and reports Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and procedures Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Conduct regular ledger maintenance Address financial inquiries and provide accurate information to stakeholders Participate in internal audits and cooperate with external auditors Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and practices. Requirements Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Hold CPA certification or working towards it. Have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role. Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated experience in performing 'Month End Close' procedures. Excellent analytical skills for interpreting complex financial information. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work. Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Exhibit a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
