Our purpose-driven ethos provides team members with opportunities to contribute, develop, and belong.PURPOSE OF THE JOBThe Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading a team of HR Business Partners and HR Project Managers with oversight of enterprise-wide HR programs and initiatives, organizational design, succession planning, change management, and work force planning. This leader will play a key role in helping strategically and tactically design the successful roll out across the company of numerous initiatives related to our transformative journey. This role will require immense collaboration with their peers across the HR leadership team and business groups, which will be instrumental in building and enhancing a foundation so the company can grow.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDirects the day-to-day operations of the HR Business Partners (HRBP) to deliver best in class HR delivery, including the development of strategic partnerships with team members, managers, and leaders .
Provides vision, inspiration, coaching and mentoring to the HR Business Partners continuing to drive the role as a strategic partner to the businesses.
Proactively leads in areas respective to the HRBP role and initiatives
Collaborate in launching a new job architecture with a focus on succession planning and a transparent path for career development and pathing
Partners closely with HR counterparts to ensure alignment in business practices where possible.
Establishes and maintains a positive and productive relationship with senior business leaders to establish HR strategic direction and drive business effectiveness.
Serves as an HRBP to Senior Leaders in advising and executing items related to impactful organizational goals and deliverables
Utilizes data, metrics, and analysis to provide insight for decision-making and provides appropriate interventions to achieve business goals and increase employee engagement, commitment, and retention.
Collaborates with VP, Human Resources in supporting HR strategy, driving cultural change, and improving organizational capability.
Partners with VP, Human Resources in all aspects of HR programs such as organizational assessment, succession planning, organizational design, workforce planning, and change management to strengthen overall organizational capability.
Uses and leverages technology and social media as appropriate and in accordance with policies and procedures to promote HR operations.
Fosters change leadership, act as an HR brand ambassador and drive valued culture in conjunction with diversity and inclusion.
Partners with the HR Business Partners and the Legal team to ensure evolving legislative requirements are met.
Develops strategies focusing on human resources initiatives throughout the organization and ensuring they are aligned to the needs and goals of the company.
Ensures achievement of strategies/objectives by providing HR leadership that delivers innovative, value-added counsel and services that facilitate the attraction, retention, and development of Team Members.
Proactively identifies pragmatic solutions and alternatives to HR related issues and strategies.
Serves as a key member of the HR leadership team addressing HR strategies, projects, and programs that allow the business to advance and grow.
Designs, implements, and maintains a positive employee experience.
Leads, manages, and documents implementation of innovative solutions and/or upgrades to HR processes, including leveraging Workday which was implemented in the fall of 2024.
Supports development of talent management strategies, which will enhance employee engagement and mitigate future talent gap.
Serves as lead point of contact for various internal and external audits.
Develops and Partners in the creation and launch of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local labor laws.
Consistently tracking progress and reporting the status of projects, keeping everyone informed and on track.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly supervises employees within the HR department and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; conducting performance and salary reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to further their skills and knowledge; creating and monitoring development plans; setting performance expectations/goals; forecasting staffing needs and planning for peak times and absences; enforcing department policies and procedures.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree required with a major or emphasis in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum 12 years of experience in Human Resources including HRBP, operations, management, and/or organizational process improvement required.
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Professional HR certifications preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).

Possess a strong understanding of HR Business Partner work.
Proven HR leader with solid experience running the HR operations of a business.
Brings deep HR “best practice” knowledge.
Has been involved in building and executing a new job architecture which includes career development.
Demonstrated strong leadership and relationship management experience that delivers results through effective teamwork.
Proven track record of building, leading, and working on teams.
Knowledge of legal requirements impacting all areas of HR. Expertise in federal and multi-state laws and practices. In-depth knowledge of employment and labor laws.
Brings best in class knowledge of change management principles and approaches. Has helped lead change management initiatives.
Knowledge of agile working methodology a strong plus.
Demonstrated strong financial acumen-applies appropriate cost/benefit principles in deciding best approaches to work.
Executive presence: ability to influence at all levels, earn respect and trust with leadership and across the organization.
Strong evidence of superior interpersonal skills. Proven leadership, team-building and mentoring skills.
Ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities and pivot to meet emerging business needs in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to independently formulate long-range objectives and manage varied programs and services.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze issues and make good decisions that are consistent with the overall program objectives.
