job detailsjob summary:RESPONSIBILITIES:

Spearhead the development and execution of the designated regional Project Portfolio roadmap and deliverables.

Act like a trusted partner for the local IT organization to support driving de implementation of the technical solution defined by the project team.

Responsible for building the implementation timelines for the different regional project and initiatives ensuring proper baseline and follow-up.

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, status reports, and issue logs. Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to stakeholders.

Serve as a counselor to and catalyst for the Head of IT in identifying risks, implementation performance deficiencies and escalations.

-Responsible for developing and managing the budget to run and maintain the It Department portfolio.

Act as the local point of coordination for all portfolio deployments across the region.

Ensure Project constraints and/or specificities are well captured during the development of new project implementations.

Responsible for the management and mitigation of all risks associated with the regional project and initiatives.

Effectively manage stakeholders across platform teams, functions and terminals to reach agreement on conflicting priorities.

Coordinate support teams to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and prevent project delays.

Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to technical specifications. Conduct testing and validation to verify that requirements are met.

Provides weekly overview of the general status of Projects across the region.

Facilitate communication with project stakeholders to foster agreements and overcome obstacles effectively.

Education - Bachelor or higher vocational degree and certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline is preferred.Experience - Minimum five (5) years of applicable and transferable knowledge and experience as a Sr Project Manager, Service Delivery engineer or PMO.

Deep understanding of Project Management methodologies such as PMI, Agile, Prince II or Scrum.

Experience managing or collaborating in multi-million technology implementation projects.

Experience managing highly skill network and system administrator teams.

PMP education or experience is preferred.

Transportation or Shipping Industry experience is preferred.

Up-to-date, active working familiarity with Project Management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera Project Planner.

Extensive relationship management experience and the ability to create and maintain an internal network across levels and disciplines.

Terminal operations background, with specific exposure to the portfolio operational domain.

Experience of providing effective demand management and support for management of an IT portfolio.

Working experience driving standardization of an IT portfolio across different business units.

Sound financial planning and analysis experience (TCO, costs/budgets mgmt.)

People management and development in a virtual, international and decentralized working setup

Experience working in a matrix organizational model

Travel is required 30% - 35% of the time. Based on project needs.
