Construction Commercial Drywall Estimator

Primary Responsibilities:
Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work as provided by contractors,
engineers, etc.
Prepare the job estimations by preparing, reviewing, and understanding project drawings and specifications – including
material take-offs and pricing
Assist in compiling project proposals, including all supporting documentation, bid forms, and project timelines, and
conducting a final review before submission.
Coordinate and lead thorough bid review meetings with senior management, project managers, and field personnel to
discuss scope, review costs, assess subcontractor involvement, and evaluate potential risks associated with information
gaps
Provide expert cost analysis to support competitive bid and negotiated contracts, and assist with technical requirements
during contract negotiations as needed.
Job Requirements:
Foundational knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt within a dynamic industry.
Familiarity with project management and estimating software is advantageous.
Ability to build solid relations with team members, vendors and clients
Successful completion of a background check is required.
Education and Certifications:
It would be advantageous if the qualified candidate had an associate or bachelor’s degree in civil/construction
engineering technology, Construction Management or Drafting Technology (or a similar accredited program)
Proficiency in Planswift takeoff software would be an asset
