SAT Verbal Tutor/Teacher Wanted
We are an established test prep company now in San Francisco. We have been teaching test prep for US college admissions since 2003. Please, look us up and see who we are (search Steven Academy). We specialize in teaching SAT, ACT, APs, IBs, iBT TOEFL, and high school subjects tutoring. We offer such classes for you to teach on-site at our San Francisco address (15th Ave and Irving St).
We are looking for a SAT Verbal Section test prep teacher (AP English Literature, AP English Language and Composition, high school expository English composition teaching ability also helpful).
Remuneration note: Contract post (since 1099 contractor position) afternoons weekdays (Mondays off) and all day Saturday weekends (during upcoming Thanksgiving and Winter Break hours, hours during the day possible, except on the holiday days themselves, which we have off). Part-time also is possible, but at least 10 hours per week preferred.
Interview and mock class: There is a mock class requirement in front of just the director on site at our address, one in a Digital SAT Verbal passage (3-5 reading passages and answer explications) and one more in any one of AP English Literature or AP English Language and Composition FRQ (not all subparts may be covered but prepare them, and don't do the last FRQ question"choose a work of fiction from list below" in AP E Lit, nor 1st onethe DBQ, the documents based question in AP E Lang). The mock class need be about 10-15 minutes in each of the two subjects. You don't need to finish the problems in that time limit and do teach at your usual pace, but you will be cut off at about that time allotted, since about that time is all that's needed to make an assessment. The mock class itself will be on-site with the usual white board and markers, erasers, and any tech you use, you will have to bring yourself.

We can accommodate on-site interviews by appointment only (email resume first to Craigslist interface, and we will reply with interview and mock class times and dates availability), and on-site mock classes can be scheduled most any day Tuesday through Saturday afternoons (10am to 7pm PST).
