We are looking for hard-working Line Cooks to join our team at our Coral Gables location. Sushi experience is a big PLUS. Good knife skills are a MUST. You will set up workstations, prepare ingredients (make sauces, marinades, garnishes, etc.), and cook according to health and sanitation guidelines/regulations, following exact recipes and procedures that meet our Head Chef’s highest standards.

As both a prep and line cook, you should be quick and diligent, and willing to improve on the job. The successful candidate is punctual, clean (works clean), organized, possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills, and performs well under pressure, maintaining the highest restaurant standards at all times. Prep/Line Cook Responsibilities:
Setting up and sanitizing workstations.
Following daily prep lists to maintain stock of all needed preparations.
Ensuring all food items are properly stored, organized, and easily accessible.
Assisting in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise.
Accepting or rejecting ingredients from suppliers based on quality standards.
Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen.
Make sure food preparation and storage areas are clean and meet health and safety standards.
Cook menu items according to written preferences and food allergy considerations.
Prep/Line Cook Requirements:
Culinary school training is ideal, or experience as a prep/line cook.
Excellent knife skills.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy and fast-paced environment.
Good general knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.
Valid food handler's license.
The ability to stand for long periods of time and carry equipment/materials up to 50 lbs.
Note: must be able to work weekends. Part time and full time positions available.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (safety/weight belt provided, if requested). Specific vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus is required.
