Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in KANSAS CITY, Missouri. The suitable candidate will be a key player in our team, playing a crucial role in managing our financial operations. The role involves a blend of tasks related to accounting and construction, with a focus on utilizing Yardi Voyager, a leading property management software. Responsibilities: Accurately processing and maintaining client credit applications. Conducting regular bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations. Ensuring accurate maintenance of the general ledger and making necessary journal entries. Regularly utilizing Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks. Managing month-end close processes. Utilizing Yardi Voyager for various accounting and management tasks. Engaging in construction accounting and managing construction costs. Assisting with project cost management. Setting up templates and managing data migration in the Yardi/Construction system. Overseeing the loading of job data and managing change orders and pay applications. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required Must have skills in Balance Sheet Reconciliation Experience with Bank Reconciliations is a must Familiarity with General Ledger is necessary Ability to create and manage Journal Entries Proficient in Microsoft Excel Ability to manage Month End Close Knowledge of Yardi software is required Familiarity with Yardi Voyager is necessary Understanding of Construction processes and principles Experience in Construction Accounting is a must Knowledge of Construction Cost and Project Cost is required Proficiency in managing construction projects and related costs.
