Performs system administration functions and data analysis on Quality software applications. Provides data analysis and interpretation of quality measures and reported patient safety issues. Works with clinical staff to review and interpret data and implement performance improvement initiatives to deliver excellence in clinical care. This role is responsible for importing, cleansing, transforming, validating, aggregating and analyzing data from various sources with the purpose of creating presentations, graphics and reports.Job Description:Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Quality, Safety, & Patient Experience data collection and analysis · Work with quality, safety, and patient experience data to perform statistical analyses and summarize relevant findings · Develop process for evaluating performance on pay for performance and reputational programs and identify opportunities to drive improvement
Vendor Management · Manage vendor platform to ensure data integrity and availability of data · Ensure consistency of data being sent to platforms such as Press Ganey, Vizient, rLDatix
Data management · Validate data to ensure integrity and consistency across multiple report and data sources. Review data for problem identification and significance. · Work collaboratively with other team members to optimize systems (Epic and other) to improve accuracy and timeliness of data reporting; · Develop and optimize data extracts, transmissions and transformations to import and export data from operational systems, vendor applications and data warehouses (internal and external systems). · Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to data management. Develop standard process for evaluating and tracking data requests from other BILH departments.
Data reporting and visualization · Create data displays and reports of quality, safety and patient experience process measures for distribution and presentation at system and local meetings. · Collaborate with local partners across the system to create needed data exports, and build and maintain data displays in Epic and in other business intelligence programs (such as PowerBI). · Provide data and prediction models to assist BILH, BILH PN, Health Care Quality, Infection Control and in anticipating outcome on pay-for-performance and reputational metrics, including CMS Value Based Purchasing (VBP), CMS Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR), BCBS, Vizient and Leapfrog.
Serve as a source of expertise in health data and analytic tools; provide guidance and support to other quality staff. 6. Establish strong working relationships with infection preventionists and antimicrobial stewards at each BILH hospital and clinical unit.
Minimum Qualifications:Education: · Bachelor’s degree required · Master’s degree in Computer Science, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health or Business Administration preferredLicensure, Certification & Registration:Experience: · At least 5 years’ experience, including at least 2 years in a related field - particularly working with data analytics in healthcare settingSkills, Knowledge & Abilities: · Excellent quantitative and analytical skills · Demonstrated proficiency with visualization software (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) through experience and/or formal education · Experience working with Epic software and analytic tools, including report and dashboard development · Advanced skills with Microsoft applications, which may include Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications · Attentive to detail and data accuracy; meticulous · Strong organizational and project management skills · Excellent communications skills, both written and verbalPreferred Qualifications & Skills:· Experience with business intelligence software, such as PowerBI or Tableau preferred · Demonstrated knowledge of programming with SQL databases preferredAs a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
