Certified Assisted Living Manager
We’re expanding our team! You will be managing two assisted living homes with a total of 20 residents. Our third home is managed by another manager who you will work closely with you to ensure you both have a healthy work/life balance. We will be building and acquiring more homes and your salary could go up as you take on more responsibility.
You will be responsible for achieving and maintaining the highest possible care and service for residents while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the following for your home:
a) Staff Management:
i) Hiring: Ensure staffing levels are accurate and appropriate for the level of resident care required. To help, we pay caregivers more than the industry average.
ii) Supervision: Ensure staff is meeting your high standards and is supported so they can succeed.
iii) Training: Ensure all caregivers and other employees who are in contact with assisted living residents receive the required certifications/training upon hire and throughout employment per regulatory guidelines.
iv) Evaluating: Use SMART Goals and milestones to help your employees continuously improve.
v) Discipline and/or Termination: As needed and with Upper Management Assistance
b) Residents:
i) Acquiring Residents: Give fantastic tours to potential residents and their families as well as industry partners when owner is unable too.
ii) Communication: Meet with resident and families to ensure quality of care. May require trouble shooting of issues or incidents. Maintain relationship with residents and family members to ensure overall satisfaction and make recommendations for improvements to program and policies.
iii) Resident Interaction:
(1) Daily interaction with residents.
(2) May involve personal care such as aiding with dressing, showering, toileting, checking vital signs and other activities for daily living (ADL).
(3) Meet with new residents; participates in resident functions, as appropriate; may respond to resident emergencies or be contact person for emergency situations.
(4) First point of contact with new residents to establish weekly cleaning day, shower schedule, preferences for meals laundry, etc. and to determine overall individual care (service) plan.
c) Facility:
i) Ensure federal and state compliance of facility which may include property/equipment inspection. Work with appropriate regulatory agencies to establish and maintain licensing, policies and procedures and needed approvals.
d) Financial:
i) Oversee budgetary process with CEO including budget development, review of financials, ensure capital equipment and supplies are maintained for operation.
ii) Analyze expenditures and make recommendations to senior management to ensure overall efficient operation of the assisted living component of the facility.
2) Job Salary & Benefits:
a) Salary DOE and Certifications but range is $74,000 to $84,000

3) Requirements:
a) Preferred: Certified Assisted Living Facility Manager License for the state of Arizona
b) Preferred: At least 5 years of Management Experience
c) Required: Arizona Caregiver Certification (Direct, Personal, & Supervisory Care)
d) Required: Current negative TB results
e) Required: Current Fingerprint Card
f) Required: Current CPR / First Aid Certificated
g) Required: Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
h) Required: References from three prior employers
i) Required: References from six personal references
j) Two licenses to hang in the two homes you will manage
