Job Description
Responsible for completing first-time and repeat job set-ups on Swiss turning lathes
Manage daily tool and work offsets
Use inspection tools including calipers, height gauge, micrometer, etc.
Manage a repeatable process from blueprints, with little supervision
Use blueprint, schematics, written and verbal instructions, shop policies and normal quality standards to obtain required contours, dimensions, and finish specifications
Ability to write programs using CAD/CAM and Esprit experience a plus, but not required; Ability to edit programs highly preferred
Ensure that proper protocols on how equipment is started, maintained, used, cleaned, and turned off is required
Calibrate and modify operational sequences to adjust speed of machining and frequency of cuts
Troubleshoot common machine issues
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum 1-5 years experience
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Be a team player and willing to help others, as needed
