Field Tech: Meditation Pod Installations & Servicing
We are a mindfulness product / personal meditation dome company.
We have the need to offer white glove delivery to our customers in the Miami area; and require someone with a valid driver's license who is interested in learning all about this first-to-market meditation dome - and working on a part-time basis with their calendar locked into install dates that vary depending on when the customer requests install to occur. Travel / installs can be scheduled in advance if you have other work commitments.
Our domes come from production to our storage and receiving facility in Ft. Worth, Texas. Our logistics are scheduled out of the Sacramento, CA area for all of our domes.
Installations require showing up at the clients location and being ready for installation. We provide a service kit that should have what you need to perform the repair. If there is something else specific for the job, we may send that separately. Occasionally, we have domes that we move from our Sacramento location to other locations for different events. It would be required to break down the crate on-site and working with basic tools to disassemble and reassemble the dome in order to move it into the customers desired space.
We have and immediate need for field work in Miami Beach area, and the role will grow as we do.
You need to be:
- Reliable and trust-worthy
- Valid drivers license (ideally passport as well)
- Strong with the ability to lift 100+ lbs and ability to work carefully and methodically
- Able to work with basic hand tools to assemble/disassemble our product for our customers
- Have basic understanding of electronics and software (LEDs, Android tablet, basic code updates). We will train you on the specifics of what you have to do.
- Available during standard business hours assuming your installations will be scheduled 2-4 weeks in advance
- Able to plan logistics and work in an entrepreneur-minded manner
- Field install / logistics and customer relations for new accounts setup. Present self in a professional manner to our customers.
- Travel to different markets and help to coordinate travel and pickup logistics.
- Account support and management skills; to present well to the market - and be able to intelligently interact with the customer.
Compensation:
Installations have a job rate of $300 per job. Compensation per install will be a project fee per job and combined with a per diem payment for accommodations when travel is required. From time to time there may be hourly work for field servicing of existing domes, this rate is $20 per hour.
Travel time is not paid time, but your out of town (greater than 50 mile radius from your residence) travel is paid for - via plane / bus / etc., and will be booked as far in advance as possible and the lowest possible fares obtained.
The company will coordinate with the customer and logistics to determine the ideal time for delivery and install, and then coordinate with field tech; and book travel based on this basis.
Each job that does not require travel / overnight will have its own contractual value totaling $300 with an additional $75 / night added when travel is involved for the day before the install and day of install (defined by more than 6 hours of total ground travel is required).
Example:
- SFO to LON
- Airfare booked and paid (company also pays uhaul / gas as relevant for dome)
- $300 for job to break down crate / coordinate with customer day of install / travel to location / setup of dome and any customer support needed immediately before or after the setup to ensure 100% customer satisfaction from a successful installation.
- company will add $75 / night to be allocated to food and hostel / Airbnb for the night before the install and day of.
- If field tech chooses to extend stay - must be planned prior to air booking and not conflict with any other pending installs.
