Apprentice Painters/ Journeyman Painters

We are a small non-union, painting and coating company that have been in business for 26 years.

We are currently looking for reliable and responsible workers who are interested in growing with our company. Some experience with construction/ painting/ labor work preferred but not fully necessary for right applicant.

Painter Apprentice Qualifications

High school diploma/ GED preferred (Required)

Must pass a drug test and respirator fit test (Required)

Driver's license with reliable (legal) transportation and clean driving record (Required)

Ability to complete projects on-time and on-budget

Excellent communication and team-building skills

Be actively enrolled in the Painting Apprenticeship Program or provide Proof of Apprenticeship (Company willing to pay for Apprenticeship Program if applicant passes probation)

Painter Apprentice Responsibilities

Must be able to lift 50+ lbs

Ability to work unsupervised and execute guided directions in a timely manner

Comfortable working on ladders, roofs and other equipment (e.g. Scissor Lift)

Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools

Attend to duties given by Foreman or Superintendent

Help keep warehouse neat and organized

Entry-Level Apprentices Requirements:

-Must be able to perform duties of the trade

-Must have transportation to get to various job sites

-Must pass a drug test and respirator fit test

-Be actively enrolled in the Painting Apprenticeship program or provide Proof of Apprenticeship Certification

-Must be punctual, self-motivated team player that follows direction

-Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Journeyman Painters Requirements:

-Must have a Certificate of Completion from the Painter's Apprenticeship program or equivalent years of experience (must provide either a certificate or list of places worked and contact information)

-Must have knowledge of the different types of painting techniques

-Must be able to perform duties of the trade

-Must have transportation to get to various job sites

-Must pass a drug test and respirator fit test

-Must be punctual, self-motivated team player that follows direction

-Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
