This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the local warehouse activity along with the operations of the asset and logistics team. The Ops Associate Supervisor will assist in implementing Lean Processes as established per corporate guidelines and ensure that targets are met while maintaining the highest level of customer service possible. Must be able to perform some of the required management duties during Ops Manager’s absence.How You'll Create Impact
Provide leadership for Distribution team members within assigned group. May get supervisory experience managing a smaller team, including time, attendance and disciplinary records for each direct report.
Responsible for recruitment, development, promotion and disciplinary actions of hourly Team Members on assigned shift with the support and guidance of Ops Manager as needed.
Responsible for overall performance management for hourly Team Members, including preparing and delivering annual performance reviews.
Assist with cross functional activities, acting as a primary contact with other divisions regarding Field Warehouse and other inventory matters for the assigned shift/department or site.
Ensure appropriate training of employees to perform their assigned functions, including Quality and EHS standards.
Provide support for asset and logistic teams
Direct processes ensuring highest level of service.
Report local building maintenance issues to Ops Manager for potential opportunities to upgrades and remodel.
What Makes You Stand Out
Entry level leadership and cross-functional skills; leadership/management background; preferably in logistics areas including shipping/receiving/distribution, and shipment/inventory management within a medical device regulated environment.
Entry-level problem-solving skills, including problem identification, data gathering, solution development, and implementation follow up
Leadership and motivational skills to expedite completion of critical project tasks with other functional groups
Must be able to work within a team environment not only within the organization unit, but also across departments and shifts.
Basic understanding of quality systems is a plus
Ability to prioritize personal workload to maintain company efficiencies – time management skills
Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with production team members and management in a professional manner
Complete understanding of key service line metrics and key operational moves to successfully impact these metrics
Ability to prioritize key initiatives to have the greatest impact on territory metrics.
Experience in strategic planning to guide operations staff on planning initiatives.
Your Background
High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred; an equivalent of education and experience will be considered.
3-5 years of service line management, consulting, or related operational experience required.
Travel ExpectationsUp to 20%Expected Compensation Range: $70,000 - $80,000 base with 10% bonus.EOE/M/F/Vet/Disability
