Sales Executive

Houston Colors General Contractors is company that provides resurfacing, carpet cleaning; make readies and other contracting services to apartment complexes across the Houston area. Due to our recent expansion we are in need of someone willing to work full time in our sales division visiting properties in and around the Houston area and promoting our services.

Position Summary

Maintain positive relationships with existing customers and develop new client relationships. Be an active member in various organizations such as local and state apartment associations. Find new opportunities to expand Company’s customer base and market penetration.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Sales Executives must possess outstanding social skills and the ability to effectively communicate to increase sales. Must have excellent listening skills, the ability to multi-task, meet multiple conflicting deadlines and creatively solve problems. Basic user of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Quick-books. Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Negotiate contracts and close sales.

Build positive relationships with existing customers and obtain new leads.

Know and understand the needs of our top clients including managers and supervisors.

Apply construction knowledge to assist clients with decision-making and developing good scopes of work.

Assist estimators and supervisors with job scopes, estimates and production of work.

Generate competitive proposals in a timely manner and close sales.

Participate in pre-construction, progress and final job meetings.

Inspect job sites, communicate with supervisor and project managers, to provide accurate and timely updates to customers and company employees.

Create and maintain a customer account database on all levels.

Review Customer list monthly and determine customer status.

Represent Company at industry organizations/events including local and state apartment associations.

Complete weekly and monthly reports and participate in sales meetings.

Day shift

Monday to Friday 9:00am-6:00pm

Often requires late night and weekend work.

Work Location:

On the road

Occasionally in the office.

Education:

High School Diploma / GED (Required)

Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

Experience:

Sales: 3 years (Preferred)

Multifamily Industry: 3 years (Preferred)

Construction Industry: 3 years (Preferred)
