Wowrack is looking to hire a DC Tech to join our Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service team. As a DC Tech, you will use your hardware knowledge to build servers and solve our customer’s complex technical issues. In this role, you will work with customers through our ticketing system. You will leverage your experience and troubleshooting skills to build Cloud infrastructure. You will play an integral part in helping our customers maintain infrastructure uptime.

This position requires an individual with high self-motivation and a high sense of ownership, as you will be the main point of contact for the customer’s production Infrastructure during the shift. This position also requires high interpersonal skills, as you will often come across challenging and highly stressful situations that require patience. You are expected to be able to navigate and ultimately provide a positive experience to all parties involved. 

You will be supported by multiple engineering teams within the Wowrack Support organization, and your ability to work as a team player will be very important. Equally important will be your continuous appetite to learn about new technologies and industry trends.

Position Summary

A Datacenter Technician Tier-1 handles remote assistance requests within the data center. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with limited experience in data centers and wishing to gain hands-on knowledge of datacenter operations.

This position is in Tukwila, WA. DC Tech shifts are from 4AM-4PM and 4PM-4AM. This is not a remote position. Job Responsibilities

Handle basic remote hands requests from customers, including equipment installation, cabling, and troubleshooting.

Assist in basic maintenance of data center equipment, such as racking and stacking servers and storage systems.

Identify and resolve basic network, hardware, and software issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues in a timely manner.

Provide technical support to customers and colleagues.

Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions.

Follow established procedures and processes.

Skills and Qualification

High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge of data center hardware, software, and networking is a plus.

The ability to troubleshoot fundamental technical issues is a plus.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations.

Ability to follow detailed instructions.

Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed.
