Lead Inventory Associate
Outstanding manufacturing company seeks Lead Material Handler to be responsible for loading, unloading and moving materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite. Work with the team to improve current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goals.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible and accountable for work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be Load, unload and move materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite
Work under minimal supervision on duties and tasks that are frequently non-routine, adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs
May perform more detailed tasks requiring deeper knowledge and experience in the specified processes and procedures
Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals
Able to effectively communicate with other functional departments, such as Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales Department
Resolve most questions and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher levels
May monitor manufacturing order kitting schedule and update kitting tracker as necessary, ensuring kits are pulled according to schedule and delivered to production on time
Ensure movement of product from production through packaging to shipping
Perform materials analysis and maintains records as required in support of cycle counting operations and performance measurement
Responsible for overseeing the proper opening of containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
Convey materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck
Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system
Attach tags or label to materials or otherwise marks information
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED + 5 years production warehouse experience
CostPoint MRP experience preferred
Experience with Karex VLM machines and power pick software preferred
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for effective interface with all internal and external contacts
Proficient with MS Office
Basic computer and data entry knowledge
