HR Assistant
Description If you have a passion for Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new opportunity, Robert Half has a great opportunity for you as a Human Resources Assistant. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.Your responsibilities in this role - Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
Assess employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations
Collaborate with employees, upper management, and third-party vendors
Develop a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections
Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
Responsible for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department
Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures
Collaborate with other HR team members to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
Requirements
Prior experience implementing and coordinating Open Enrollment is a plus
The responsibilities of this position will require you to be highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
Prior HR experience required
Full cycle recruiting experience
Prior experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Proficient with office computer applications and software, as well as social media platforms
Excellent written and verbal business skills
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
Strong understanding local, state and federal laws
