ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC 3rd SHIFT
DescriptionPay $26.91 to $41.16 an hour with attendance bonus.Job Title: Electrical Maintenance MechanicPosition Summary :
This technician will install, replace and trouble shoot machines, equipment and lighting systems for the facility. They will be involved in projects and corrective actions for all equipment in our facility
Education and experience requirements :
Must have at least 5 years documented electrical experience
Prefer a technician that has been through the electrical apprentice program
Or prefer a technician with a journey- man card or electrician or master electrician certificate
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Skill Summary :
Must have intermediate knowledge of PLC’s, soft starts and VFD’s.
Can demonstrate experience with reading ladder logic and or troubleshooting by inputs and outputs at the PLC.
Can demonstrate reading an electrical schematic – will be asked to do so during the interview.
Must be able to understand the NEC manual and understand the code that will apply to voltage, power supplies, amperage, controls and troubleshooting
Must practice and understand LO/TO and Arc Flash.
Must understand 3 phase 480, 240 and 208 circuits.
Understand 277 volts and lighting systems to include emergency lights, exit lights and UPS systems
Must be able to troubles shoot 120 volt and 24 VDC control circuits
Must be able to demonstrate use of multi-meter, amp-probe and megger when troubleshooting.
Must be able to install and remove any electrical motor and pump in the facility and be able to trouble shoot and make necessary repairs.
Must be able to run conduit and pull wire in ridged and seal tight conduit
Must be able to work over time when scheduled or needed and this includes weekends and holidays.
Must be able to do mechanical work, troubleshooting, installations and repairs ( multi-craft).
Must have their own hand tools and tool box
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Less than high school education; 2 year of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:NoneTRAINING REQUIREMENTS/METHODS:All employees are required to attend employee and safety orientation prior to performing the above duties. Once the employee completes this training they will be assigned to a Supervisor who will further orient the employee to the workplace, introduce him/her to employees and other supervision, demonstrate work assignment and explain ingress and egress procedures to and from work station.
