Job Description

Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Order Management department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide a top Expeditors customer with visibility to their drayage process through close management of the data, providing robust reporting and dashboards, and working with distribution centers and service providers to meet the customer’s key performance indicators.

  • Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
  • Track and trace drayage files and reporting
  • Work through transition to new dray management platform
  • Ensure minimal accessorial charges are billed to customer, tracking root cause when unavoidable
  • Ensure delivery of freight and timely clearance when applicable
  • Interact with our customer in arranging deliveries, meeting customer service standards.
  • Contribute to maintain good relationships with service providers
  • Meet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations.
  • Understand department process flow, and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure all customers standard operating procedures in place and updated in the DLSOPs
  • Meet KPI standards in accordance with the company’s procedures
  • Network communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)
  • Escalation of problems to Management when necessary
  • Foresight, Anticipation, and Communication of potential issues to management and client that could arise due to volume spikes, market conditions, etc.
  • Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND BEHAVIORS:

Skills:

  • Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Microsoft Power BI)
  • Fluent in English
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
  • Proven skills in MS office,

Additional Information

Education and Experience:

  • 2+ year experience with Expeditors and/or 2+ years experience managing information from multiple data sources.
  • Experience dealing with service providers via telephone and/or email.
