Power BI Project Manager
Description Power BI Project Manager4 month contract 20-40hrs a weekHybrid in Midtown ATLWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Power BI Project Manager to lead and manage the implementation of Power BI solutions within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data warehousing, business intelligence, and project management methodologies. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Power BI projects, from initial requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing support.Responsibilities:Project Management:
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
Manage project budget and resources effectively.
Facilitate regular project status meetings with stakeholders.
Business Analysis:
Collaborate with business users to understand their data needs and reporting requirements.
Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the development team.
Data Analysis and Modeling:
Work with data analysts and engineers to ensure data quality and consistency.
Understand data models and data flows.
Identify opportunities to improve data quality and performance.
Power BI Development:
Oversee the development of Power BI reports, dashboards, and dataflows.
Ensure adherence to best practices and standards for Power BI development.
Review and approve Power BI artifacts.
Deployment and Support:
Coordinate the deployment of Power BI solutions to production environments.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Power BI solutions.
Train and empower end-users to utilize Power BI effectively.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Power BI Project Manager or similar role.
Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes.
Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and SQL.
Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and risk management.
