Payroll Manager

Description We are offering a contract for a Payroll Manager position in Valencia, California, within the food and food processing industry. The selected individual will be responsible for managing the daily payroll processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and coordinating with other departments to ensure a smooth workflow. Responsibilities: Manage daily payroll operations across multiple states to ensure accuracy and timeliness Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices Provide necessary records and documentation during audits Collaborate with HR and other teams for coordinated workflow Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll queries Maintain records and reports of payroll transactions accurately Investigate and rectify payroll discrepancies and errors Calculate employee federal and state taxes, including unemployment and worker’s compensation to determine payroll liabilities Develop and enhance payroll policies, guidelines, and procedures.Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Payroll Manager position or similar role Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP Workforce Now Familiarity with Ceridian and Ceridian Payroll System Experience with About Time software Expertise in handling Domestic Payroll Proficiency in HR Payroll System Experience with Multistate Payroll and Payroll - Multi-State Ability to handle Payroll for over 500 Employees Certified Payroll Compliance Detail Oriented Experience in handling Benefits PayrollRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
