The WV Cancer Prevention and Control at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a (Hybrid) Research Coordinator.
About the Opportunity
This position is responsible for supporting ongoing research and evaluation activities in the field of cancer prevention and control with a specific emphasis in cancer communication science. The person in this role will gain practical experience in health communication, mixed methods research, social listening, knowledge translation, and dissemination science.

What You'll Do
Conducts research and evaluation activities as directed.
Executes and implements specific segments of a research project.
Investigates and recommends alternative approaches to improve quality of results.
Conducts literature reviews.
Utilizes and maintains data collection software.
Contribute to the dissemination of findings and projects associated with the CHATS Lab, including developing training for researchers and the public.
Assists with the creation and maintenance of Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols to ensure data protection and research activities follow best practice, are conducted ethically, and are compliant with university-level, as well as national and state level policies for the responsible conduct of research
Functions as a team member of Cancer Prevention and Control (CPC). Assists with other CPC program activities as requested by Senior Staff members.
Participates in the creation and dissemination of cancer information through the development of resources such as handouts, flyers, presentations, internal and external communications, videos, photographs, posters, infographics, social media, websites, etc.
Assist with the planning and development of multimedia projects.
Maintains data collection tools and summarizes data collection processes, procedures, and activities.
Conducts literature reviews
Assists with the development of grant applications to further research opportunities
Contributes to articles, abstracts, and posters to promote programmatic work and outreach of CPC.
Completes all required WVU trainings and certifications.
