What you’ll do as a Operator Telecom Drill Bores

You will safely operate drill equipment on jobsite which may include but not limited to the following: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer

You will restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite

You will develop and maintain a bore schedule

You will be responsible for the site set-up and clean-up

You will load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck

You will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis – JSA prior to starting construction

You will set up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic

What you’ll need

To be 18 years of age or older

Authorization to work in the United States for this company

You are able to maintain a safe work environment

You are experienced with drilling equipment and understand their capabilities and limitations

You are able to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities

You may have experience with drill set up and design processes

You may able to read and understand work orders, safety rules and operating instructions

You may have previous construction or utility construction experience

Remote work may be required; long driving and sitting will be required.

Additional qualifications (if applicable)

You are able to work in all weather conditions

You are able to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call

You have a valid standard Driver's License or a Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement

You have an MVR record that is deemed acceptable by the company

Physical abilities & exposures

Routinely: W ork alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus potentially near and/or far as needed.

Occasionally: Employees may be exposed to toxic or corrosive chemicals as well as moving machinery parts and pieces.

Salary Range $20.00 to $26.00 / hr (based on experience)
