Strong Surgical Center Basement- Nurse Manager
ResponsibilitiesSSCB is a fast-paced environment, caring for upwards of 80 patient encounters per day. Nursing plays a key role in the care of patients presenting for ambulatory, same day admission, and 23-hour surgical procedures throughout their pre-operative phase of care and subsequent recovery. The nurse manager is responsible for leading the team of nurses and PCTs, ensuring high-quality, patient and family centered care across a wide range of surgical procedures. The nurse manager oversees staffing, scheduling (dimensions/UKG), and daily operations in collaboration with the assistant nurse manager team. This role includes ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, promoting continuous improvement, and collaborating with the surgical and anesthesiology teams to optimize patient outcomes. The work is dynamic, with flexibility and adaptability as key attributes for all team members. Candidates must exhibit excellent communication skills, creativity and the ability to focus on teamwork and patient outcomes. Five years of clinical nursing required, experience specific to Perianesthesia, acute care, med/surg or ED/ICU strongly recommended. Leadership experience and BSN required, specialty certification recommended. Master¿s degree required within five yearsQualifications Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
