Accounts Payable Specialist

Description Our organization, operating in the government sector in Summerville, South Carolina, is offering a contract to permanent for an Accounts Payable Specialist position. In this role, you'll be expected to manage a high volume of accounts payable activities, with a minor involvement in accounts receivable. Your daily tasks will involve the use of American Data Verse software. Responsibilities: Oversee and process accounts payable in a high volume setting Operate accounting software systems, specifically American Data Verse Conduct account coding as part of the accounts payable process Participate in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to streamline processes Handle a small portion of accounts receivable (A/R) duties Execute accrual accounting tasks as needed Conduct auditing to ensure financial transactions are accurate Oversee Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions Use ADP - Financial Services for various accounting tasks Operate Concur for expense management. Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding is required. Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is necessary. Experience with ADP - Financial Services is desirable. Knowledge of Concur software is beneficial. Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is needed. Understanding of general Accounting Functions is essential. Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is required. Familiarity with Accrual Accounting is necessary. Auditing experience is desirable. Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes is beneficial.
