Job Title: Staging Lead 1

Report To: Schedule/Logistics Coordinator

Department: Operations

Classification: Non-Exempt

Effective Date: 1.1.2025

Supervisors Others: Yes

Compensation: $25 /Hour Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00-4:30

overtime, weekends, and holidays will be required.

Position Overview

Supervise crews and communication with clients and other vendors during the set-up and take down of staging/rigging projects.

Essential Functions

1. Set-up and take down of staging/rigging projects.

2. Supervise crew to ensure they are working safely on assigned tasks.

3. Communicate with clients on all aspects of the project, especially location of stage.

4. Communicate with other on-site vendors to verify their schedule.

5. Communicate with other on-site vendors to verify their equipment and location to be used.

6. Talk to crew before set-up starts to ensure they understand the scope of the project.

7. Take pictures and promptly turn in for every project.

8. Promptly complete and turn in a JSO (Jobsite Over View) for every project.

9. Communicate with supervisor any problems or changes for the project.

10. Outline timelines and goals to the crew for every project.

11. Monitor the hours worked by each crew member.

12. Ensure all tools and equipment are returned by crew members.

13. Act as construction manager, not crew members, for all projects.

Job Requirements/Skills

1. Adherence to the safety policies and procedures of the company.

2. Maintain a positive and supportive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

3. Team player who treats co-workers, vendors, and customers with respect.

4. Ability to read and write English.

5. Ability to do basic math.

6. Current and Clean valid driver’s license. Insurable through Stages Northwest.

7. Ability to drive flatbed trucks under 26,000 GVW.

8. Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

9. Strong oral and written communication.

10. Ability to read construction blueprints and drawings. (Excel drawing mostly)

11. Proven construction and carpentry skills.

Education/Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Some college or degree preferred.

3. Prior experience with hand and power carpentry tools.

4. Two or more years of staging/rigging experience.

5. Two or more years of construction experience.

6. Two of more years of forklift, tele handlers etc experience.

Physical Requirements

1. Requires walking, carrying, reaching, standing, climbing, and stooping.

2. Requires lifting or lowering, pushing or pulling of weights up to 80 lbs.

3. Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision, and depth perception.

4. Must be able to pass a drug screening.

Supervisory Responsibilities

1. This position supervises Staging Crew.

2. This position supervises Contract labor.

Work Environment

1. Job sites with outdoor weather conditions.

2. Indoor climate-controlled job sites.

3. The noise level is moderate to loud.
