Ultimately you will be responsible for contributing to growth in awareness of Capital One's Travel brand and the best-in-class travel experiences we develop and offer to cardholders. In this role you will collaborate with the Card PR and Capital One Travel teams, along with external agencies and partners, to develop and implement creative, high-impact, integrated programming that reaches both consumers and key decision makers in the travel industry.This position requires exceptional judgment, teamwork, attention to detail, and results focus. Adaptability and a sense of humor will also serve you well.Primary Responsibilities:Serve as a PR representative on the integrated Capital One Travel team, partnering with Business, Marketing, Brand and Internal Communications teamsDevelop and socialize of strategic plansProject manage and coordinate programs across multiple stakeholdersDevelop messaging, media materials, spokesperson remarks and responses to inbound media inquiriesPlay a central role in media relations; build and foster relationships with key media, identify opportunities to drive coverage among key outlets and address manage inquiriesLiaise with external partners and agency, collaborating to ensure flawless execution and best-in-class resultsSet goals for programming, develop measurement approach and report on resultsIntroduce creative solutions to challenges; push the PR and partner teams to test new approachesDeeply understand the business you are supporting and leverage this knowledge to inform your approach to day-to-day workStay abreast of evolving trends in the the travel and card media environment and apply insights to ongoing strategy and executionConstantly collaborate with teammates across the Card and overall Corporate Communications teams to develop and execute best in class programmingContribute to team operational excellence by supporting media monitoring, budget management, prioritization of work, development of best practices, etc.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors degree or military experienceAt least five years of communications experiencePreferred Qualifications:At least one year of experience working in an integrated marketing and communications environmentAt least two years of experience in PR, working with or for travel, hospitality, credit card, and/or luxury goods and servicesAt least two years of media relations experienceAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $128,300 - $146,400 for Communications ManagerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
