Part-Time Plant Care & Store Keeper

About Us-

Lost Books is a nature-filled book and plant store overflowing with tropical plants, a green living tunnel, singing birds, and a saltwater fishtank that make the store alive. We take great pride in keeping the space clean, beautiful, and welcoming for our guests and customers, and we need an experienced, skilled, and detailed-oriented individual who can help us care for it with attention and dedication.

What You’ll Do-

Plant Care & Morning Set Up (2-3 hours a day, 5-6 days a week) total 15-18 hours per week.

Water, fertilize, prune, and re-pot tropical plants, including the green living tunnel.

Propagate plants and keep them healthy and beautiful.

Set up the front patio display with plants, seating, and items for sale each morning.

Check plants regularly and adjust care as needed.

Animal Care

Feed and care for the birds and fish in the store.

Keep their spaces clean and safe.

Cleaning Duties

Clean the store, including floors, bathrooms, windows, and the breakroom.

Keep bookshelves, counters, and plant displays neat, dust and dirt free, and organized.

Make sure the store is clean and welcoming every day.

Friendly Customer Interaction: must be able to share plant knowledge and prices to customers

Be friendly and helpful to regular customers you’ll see often.

Help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

What We're Looking For

-MUST have extensive experience/knowledge with plant care (watering, pruning, fertilizing, and propagating).

-Reliable, on time, detailed, and takes pride in your work.

-Friendly and positive with customers and teammates.

-Detail-oriented and able to work independently.

-Have cleaning or custodial experience.
