Save a Life This Holiday Season—Become a Dog Foster!
California, Los angeles , 90001 Los angeles USA

Looking for a way to make a meaningful impact this holiday season? Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue is urgently seeking committed, loving fosters to help care for our rescue dogs. Fostering is life-changing for these animals and can be equally rewarding for you.

Whether you’re available for long-term fostering or just during the holidays, your home could be the safe haven a dog desperately needs.

Meet the Dogs Who Need You:

Axel

Lab/Shepherd mix, 100 lbs

- Axel has lots of energy and loves other dogs. He’s very intelligent and loyal but is easily overwhelmed in noisy, high-traffic areas or around young kids. Axel needs a foster who understands his triggers (like strangers reaching for him) and can provide a structured, calm environment. At home, he’s playful and affectionate, enjoying tug-of-war and fetch. He’s been in training and boarding but needs a stable home while awaiting adoption.

Rhonda

Mastiff mix, 100 lbs

- A gentle giant who’s been nothing but sweet with every person she’s met. Rhonda has some vision issues and is recovering from being severely emaciated, but her health is improving daily. While she loves cuddles and good meals, Rhonda has recently started showing jealousy toward her foster’s other dog. She’d do best as the only dog in the home to avoid conflicts.

Zen

Neo-mastiff, temporary foster needed 11/24–12/5

- Zen loves attention and thrives with structure. He’s housetrained, intelligent, and well-behaved with the right boundaries. While he’s good seeing other dogs on walks, he doesn’t share his home well with them and does best as the only dog. Zen needs a confident foster who can maintain his training and understands how to provide clear guidance.

Pie

English Bulldog, long-term foster needed starting 12/7

- Pie is a lovable, energetic bulldog who has learned so much in his current foster home. He knows tricks, is housetrained, and walks well on a leash. He’ll thrive with a foster who can continue his training and give him plenty of playtime.

Macks

Cattle dog mix, temporary foster needed 12/14–12/30

- Macks is a dream dog at home: housetrained, non-destructive, and incredibly loving with people. She’s reactive to other dogs on walks and must be kept separated from them. Outside of that, she’s perfect—friendly, well-behaved, and a joy to foster.

Roller

Mastiff mix, temporary foster needed 12/18–1/8

- Roller is the definition of an easygoing dog. He’s friendly with people, cats, and other dogs. House-trained and great on a leash, Roller loves cuddling and enjoying good meals. He’s the perfect holiday buddy for someone looking to help over the holidays.

Ruby & Lucy

Bonded pair, temporary foster needed starting 12/23

- These two are loving with each other but don’t do well with other dogs or cats. They’re house-trained and healthy, but they can be wary of new people and protective of their home. They do best meeting new people off their home turf. If you’re looking to help a bonded pair through the holidays, Ruby and Lucy are a wonderful choice.

What You Need to Know Before Reaching Out:

- Comfortable with large dogs (most of our dogs are 60–100 lbs).

- Have reliable transportation for adoption events (every other Saturday in West Hollywood) and vet appointments as needed.

- Get landlord/roommate/spouse approval before contacting us.

- Ideal fosters can commit to at least 4 weeks, but we also need short-term emergency and holiday fosters.
