Sous Chef

What We’re Looking For:
-Must have or obtain a valid Food Handler's Permit for Hawaii.
-Strong leadership and organizational skills to oversee all kitchen operations.
-Proven experience in food preparation, quality control, and staff training.
-Knowledge of inventory management, food cost control, and sanitation practices.
-A positive leader who motivates team members and maintains a high standard of excellence.
Major Responsibilities:
-Oversee all kitchen functions, including food purchasing, receiving, preparation, and maintaining quality and safety standards.
-Train and manage kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to company standards for food preparation and presentation.
-Plan and develop new recipes, menus, and portion standards in collaboration with management.
-Manage food costs, minimize waste, and optimize labor to achieve business goals.
-Ensure compliance with sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards, including proper equipment maintenance.
-Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, performance evaluations, and training.
-Monitor inventory levels, vendor relationships, and operational expenses.
