ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include quality control and patient testing using automated and manual methods, blood component testing and preparation as well as blood component issue. The technologist will perform refrigerator rounds in 3 hospitals. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of good manufacturing practices and possess excellent customer service skills.Required QualificationsIn order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or biological science is required or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated successful clinical experience as well as certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist or the ability to be certified by BOC.

Must have the demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively with other medical personnel in both verbal and written form.

Demonstrated ability to independently organize and prioritize work and to exercise initiative in recognizing and solving problems.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse team.

Desired QualificationsPrevious experience in Blood Banking is desirable.Work ScheduleThis full time, 40 hour position will be on the evening shif and may require rotating weekends, holidays and on-call with other staff.Modes of WorkPositions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
