The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 2 years of manufacturing experience. Previous metals manufacturing preferred. Ability to read manufacturing drawings is required, as well as lean manufacturing and hands-on shop floor experience. Improve the efficiencies of operations and the facility as a whole.
Review product designs for compliance with good engineering principles, company standards, and customer specifications.
Assist with Preventative Maintenance Management.
Develop production processes that are capable, sustainable and repeatable and determine bottlenecks
Facilitate continuous improvement and minimize waste of all processes on assigned lines and in assigned work cells.
Serve as primary troubleshooting interface for production problems and issues on assigned lines and in assigned work cells that cannot be addressed by production and maintenance.
May do industrial engineering work, including time studies.
Requirements:
B.S. in Engineering or similar
At least 2 years of lean manufacturing experience, steel or metal manufacturing preferred
AutoCAD, Solidworks or Inventor capabilities and ability to read prints
Excellent problem-solving, project management and strategic skills
Hands-on work ethic and willingness to be on the floor 70% of the time
