Studio Associate - Lighting & Furniture Company

Konekt Studio is seeking a Studio Associate to join our Philadelphia studio and be involved in all aspects of our production, logistics, and lighting assembly operations. We are a rapidly growing designer and manufacturer of luxury lighting and furniture, producing original and unique pieces both in-house and in partnership with a network of artisans and craftsmen.

We are looking for a candidate who is organized, enthusiastic and detail oriented and who can work well in a fast paced environment. This is a ground floor hands on opportunity where you will work directly under the production manager and be in close contact with the three partners.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job preparation assist in managing workflow and inventory.

Quality control inspecting parts and finished goods to ensure high standards.

Hand assembly of lights, include lamp wiring.

Coordinate with vendors to track orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

Basic machining including cutting pipes, drilling/tapping holes, etc.

Assist in wrapping and packing of finished products and coordinating shipping of orders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Have a positive disposition, flexibility, willingness to learn and be a problem solver in a creative environment.

Have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, and be able to and enjoy working articulately with their hands. Need to be able to at times lift 40 lbs. safely.

Be computer literate and work proficiently with core business software.

Previous experience within the design or manufacturing industry a plus, but not required.
