About the Role:

The Mature Alaskans Seeking Skills Training (MASST) program helps seniors overcome barriers to employment and build valuable skills. As the MASST Coordinator, you’ll work directly with older Alaskans to provide meaningful support, helping them gain confidence, training, and access to opportunities in their community. This is a unique chance to make a direct impact while working with a dynamic nonprofit committed to education and workforce development.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote program services to recruit participants and host sites.

Assess eligibility, skills, and training needs of senior participants.

Develop personalized Individual Employment Plans.

Assist clients with job development, placement, and retention support.

Build partnerships with local organizations to create meaningful opportunities.

Maintain confidential participant records and prepare program reports.

Collaborate with state departments and community agencies to plan and execute program activities.

Qualifications:

-Familiarity with social services and resources in the Mat-Su region.

-Experience with program coordination and participant support.

-Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

-Knowledge of technology tools, including data management systems.

-Alaska driver’s license required.
