Landscape Irrigation Tech
Position Overview:
The Irrigation Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems & lighting for residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of irrigation & lighting management & design, water conservation techniques, and landscape horticulture.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair irrigation & lighting systems, including lights, sprinklers, drip systems, and timers.
Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of irrigation systems & lighting to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with landscape designers and managers to implement effective irrigation & lighting solutions.
Monitor water usage and implement water conservation practices. Program controllers as needed based on weather requirements.
Provide customer support and educate clients on irrigation system & lighting operation and maintenance.
Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in landscape irrigation & lighting.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in irrigation technology or landscape management preferred.
Proven experience in landscape irrigation & lighting installation and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of irrigation & lighting components and systems, including pumps, valves, and controllers.
Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record must be maintained.
Ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment safely.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
Ability to kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces.
