Outside Sales Representative
Position Title: Outside Sales Representative
Salary: $70K-$90K
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7am-5pm TBD
QPS Employment Group is hiring an Outside Sales Representative for a company that is looking for someone in the Oklahoma City market and the KCMO market. This is a direct hire, work from home position when not in the field. 50 cents a mile for mileage reimbursement up to $500/month.
Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and lead follow-up
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s commercial lighting and signage products, and stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and competitors
- Conduct on-site visits, virtual meetings
- Create proposals and quotes for potential clients, explaining technical specifications, costs, and installation processes
- Work closely with the design and technical teams to ensure that customer requirements are met and that projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and performance goals, providing regular updates and reports on sales activity and market conditions
- Provide excellent after-sales support by following up with clients, addressing any issues, and ensuring successful installation and operation of lighting systems
- Identify opportunities to expand market share by targeting specific sectors (e.g., retail, hospitality, manufacturing) and developing tailored strategies to meet their signage needs
Outside Sales Representative Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the lighting, signage, or related industries. (not required, but highly preferred) B2B Sales Experience a must
- Decent understanding of commercial lighting systems, signage products, and installation processes. (will train on products)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify customer needs and offer creative, tailored solutions
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to meet clients as needed
- Strong presentation and selling skills, with the ability to clearly communicate product benefits and technical information
- Ability to build relationships quickly and maintain a positive rapport with clients
- Problem-solving skills to address client concerns and offer viable solutions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems
