Dealership Lot Attendant
Lancaster County Motors Family of Dealerships has an opening for a full-time Lot Attendant to work at several of our locations.
Description
The Lot Attendant is responsible for maintaining both new and pre-owned vehicle inventories on the dealership lot and in the showroom in an orderly and appealing manner according to dealership display standards. Will be responsible for verifying receipt of and performing damage inspections on new vehicles delivered to the dealership. The Lot Attendant will be making errand runs and assisting the sales team, as requested.
Job Duties Include:
Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly as directed by managers, move and park cars to keep flow going into and out of showroom and service. Control car movement to eliminate any lot damage.
Monitor to ensure that vehicles stored and parked to maximize use of space and keep the lot in order.
Daily assessment of display lots, take appropriate action to display vehicles to dealership standards.
Deliver vehicles to service area upon customer pick-up
Quality control check of every vehicle before being staged for sale or for a customer that is purchasing
Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operations.
Ensure that all sold vehicles get washed and vacuumed before customer pick up.
Check and stock in new cars upon arrival
Maintain appearance of vehicle inventory by cleaning interior and exterior and replenishing vehicle fluid levels as needed
Jump start, charge battery, and Fuel vehicles as needed.
Keep track of vehicle keys.
Recognize general vehicle repairs or building maintenance which may need to be escalated to a manager.
Maintain external appearance and cleanliness of all dealership buildings, lots, driveways, walks, etc. including removing snow.
Set up and remove displays and associated material for special events.
Run errands for dealership staff
Ability to speak to customers in a friendly manner.
Preform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Ability to work outdoors and stand on your feet for extended periods of time
Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record
Ability to operate both standard and automatic vehicles
HS diploma or GED
Knowledge of the English language, spelling, grammar, punctuation and numbering systems
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
Knowledge of basic math
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle and background check
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM
