Job Title: Spec, Production Planning Job Code: 17881 Job Location: USA-UT-Salt Lake City-S 300 W (L2419) Schedule: 9/80 Job Description: Supports all planning, scheduling, and coordination activities for Production demands and may assist with MRO requirements. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects. Works with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Shipping, and Program Management to execute production schedule. May processes incoming and outgoing hardware in SAP and generates all applicable documentation. Collaborate with the Procurement team to identify and expedite material requirements needed to execute the production schedule. Essential Functions:

Intermediate professional with practical knowledge of Production Planning.

Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for own job area.

Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures

Identifies and addresses changes within own job area

Works to achieve operational targets with some impact on departmental results.

Computer Skills:

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Microsoft Access experience a plus

Must have experience using an ERP system

SAP experience is strongly preferred

Data Management:

Create and/or maintain spreadsheets and status reports to track important customer information

Ensure timely and accurate entry of data into SAP and/or spreadsheets as required

Review and verify data and make any necessary changes in SAP.

Research hardware history and input data into SAP.

Maintain data records in SAP and record changes as they occur.

Maintains product as-built configuration (ABL) in SAP.

Manufacturing:

Must understand general manufacturing and repair processes

Must understand how Service Orders (Shop Orders) work

Communication:

Must have experience communicating with all levels of the business

Clearly communicate status of hardware in process to supervisors, management, Contracts, and/or Program Management

Consults with personnel in the operating groups to determine, establish or verify facts or figures in connection with data being processed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior planning experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience in an MRP/ERP production planning

Experience in a Manufacturing environment

Aerospace and Defense experience a plus

Process Improvement experience

Understanding of Supply and Demand

Critical thinking and analytics

Ability to analyze data and troubleshoot issues in the ERP system
