Find your future with us.Boeing Global Services is seeking multiple KC-46 or similar platform Lead Repair/Modifications Technician in direct support of KC-46A Pegasus Integrated Sustainment Program within Boeing Global Services. These positions are located at McConnell AFB, Kansas, McGuire AFB, NJ, or Travis AFB, CA.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.Position Responsibilities:
Leads the assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by overseeing the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
Directs troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
Oversees validation/verification testing of systems and components.
Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
Leads and supervises others to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).
Provides training and mentors others.
Works under minimal direction.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices
Ability to travel 15%-25% of the time both domestically and internationally
Minimum of 5 years' experience do you have in reading and interpreting technical publications and/or maintenance manuals
Minimum of 5 years' experience working from heights & using fall protection equipment with weight limitations
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading and/or managing a team
Experience with repairing and troubleshooting aircraft structural/composite, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, environmental, and avionics systems
Experience do you have in avionics troubleshooting
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
