Tier 1 AML Analyst
Description We are seeking a Tier 1 AML Analyst to join our team in the financial services industry, based in Chicago, Illinois. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of assisting with a Tier 1 AML project, utilizing your proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Responsibilities: Assist with the execution and management of a Tier 1 AML project Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting purposes Ensure all actions are compliant with relevant financial regulations Conduct regular monitoring and analysis of customer accounts Proactively respond and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks Support the team in maintaining organized and accurate customer credit records Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project objectives Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on project progress Continually enhance tech savviness to increase efficiency and effectiveness on the job. Requirements Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Previous experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) is highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Strong understanding of AML regulations and compliance is expected. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary. Must possess strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. A Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification is a plus. Knowledge of financial services industry and its regulations is necessary. Ability to interpret and apply AML/CFT (Combating the Financing of Terrorism) rules and regulations. Familiarity with transaction monitoring systems and processes would be beneficial. Candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively with team members. Strong report writing skills and ability to effectively present findings are required.
