Commercial Apprentice Installer

Sturm Heating is expanding the Commercial HVAC Department and are looking for self-motivated and dependable apprentice installers. If you have been in the HVAC industry for a couple years but are stuck only learning a small portion of the heating and air conditioning trade and want to expand your skills and knowledge, give us a call. We are looking for people that we can invest in for the long term, this is not a job opportunity, this is a career opportunity.

Set and level equipment

Have basic hand tools, drill, and tool bags.

Basic Safety knowledge of tools, testing devices and surroundings.

Complete installation of branch runs

Basic knowledge and ability to run main trunk lines

Able to run a line set

Begin to learn ductwork design

Knowledge of what all basic materials are called.

Ability to maintain truck inventory without direction. Able to install and terminate exhaust fans

Able to seal duct work

Locate supply and return runs per layout on plans

Foresight for having required materials for basic tasks.

Ability to operate pipe machine and install gas piping.

Work well with other sub-contractors and co-workers

Cut & drill holes

Fill out paperwork in a neat, accurate, complete manner

Installation & Insulation of duct work

Follow all guidelines for job staging

Needs to be supervised at all times

Preferred Licenses:

Gas Mechanics 1

EPA universal

06A training card Idaho Apprenticeship card
