Vice President of Operations
Position Summary: The Vice President of Operations at TVS Inc. is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the operations across multiple dry food mix and supplement manufacturing sites. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, ensuring consistent product quality, and achieving financial and business objectives. The VP collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, foster innovation, and maintain a competitive edge in the food manufacturing industry. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute the operational strategy to align with TVS Inc.'s vision and business objectives.
Oversee multi-site operations, ensuring standardization and efficiency across all manufacturing facilities.
Lead initiatives to expand production capacity, optimize supply chains, and improve overall performance.
Operational Oversight:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, productivity, and cost control.
Ensure each site meets production schedules, customer demands, and profitability targets.
Drive implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Quality & Compliance:
Enforce adherence to food safety and quality standards, including SQF, HACCP, GMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
Partner with Quality Assurance leaders to address issues and implement corrective actions.
Lead corporate-level oversight of compliance audits and certifications.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage the operations budget, focusing on cost reduction and margin improvement.
Review and analyze financial reports to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
Evaluate capital investments and prioritize projects to ensure return on investment.
Leadership & Team Development:
Build and lead a high-performing operations team, including Plant Managers and regional leaders.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and career development opportunities for team members.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration throughout the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Product Development, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to support product launches and market expansion.
Align production capabilities with customer needs and market demands.
Serve as a key liaison between corporate leadership and site-level operations.
Safety & Risk Management:
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and other workplace safety regulations.
Oversee risk management strategies to minimize operational disruptions and maintain business continuity.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Extensive experience in food manufacturing, specifically dry food mix or related sectors.
Preferred:
Master’s degree (MBA or related field).
Proven expertise in multi-site management and scaling operations.
Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent process improvement frameworks.
